Water Damage – Spring Hill Kitchen
Water damage at this Spring Hill home’s kitchen was the result of a ruptured water supply line to an ice maker. The incident was made worse since it happened over a long weekend when the family was away. The extended time the water stood on the floor caused significant damage, the most notable being the engineered wood flooring. Standing water, when left to sit, filters between the joints of the planks and into the subfloor. SERVPRO of Maury / Giles Counties uses hi-tech moisture detection meters to determine the moisture content of the subfloor and other segments of building materials. If the moisture content is too high, it requires that the wood flooring be taken up to allow the subfloor to dry. Our industry certified technicians would suction up the standing water and take the appropriate action indicated for the wood flooring.
